Blue Wren Cottage is situated a short stroll from the center of Bright, often described as the most beautiful town in country Victoria.

Bright has a number of restaurants and bars, ranging from simple family-friendly meals to fine dining. There are numerous walking tracks and spectacular views along the Ovens River Canyon walk. Bright is within easy reach of the Victorian Alpine region, including Mount Hotham, Mount Buffalo and Mount Beauty. Ski equipment and chains are available for hire.

Bright is also perfectly located to explore the Milawa Gourmet Region, with its vineyards, mustards, cheeses and olive specialities. A short drive takes you to some of the region's many historic towns, including Wandiligong, Yackandandah, Chiltern and Beechworth.

In summer, there is swimming at the nearby pool, as well as bike riding - or explore the antique and craft shops. For the adventurous, Bright has everything from paragliding to abseiling. For something less strenuous, try fishing or horeseriding. Visit one of the region's many wineries or just curl up with some gourmet cheese, a bottle of excellent local wine and a good book.
