In the warmer months, cool off at the nearby swimming pool, or at the many local water holes. Or something that promises to be full of family fun Bright’s newest attraction, Bright Splash Park in Centenary Park, alongside Morses Creek, designed to suit different age groups from toddlers through to teenagers.
All year round tackle the roads, tracks and trails on two-wheels. Bike-riding along the Murray to Mountains Rail Trail is picturesque. Trek the numerus walking tracks especially Canyon Walk along the Ovens River located at Blue Wrens backdoor.
For the adventurous, Bright has everything from paragliding to abseiling. For something less strenuous try fishing or horse riding. Visit one of the regions many wineries, dine on fresh local produce or just curl up with a good book.

Taste Bright with its number of restaurants, cafes and bars, ranging from simple family friendly meals to fine dining. Or enjoy some spectacular scenery and fresh mountain air winding your way along the Great Alpine Road through towns like Myrtleford, Porepunkah; where you can travel onwards to Mount Buffalo National Park with its tumbling waterfalls, spectacular views, and Lake Catani. Further along past Bright you will find idyllic little towns like Harrietville, then head up the mountain to Dinner Plain & Omeo.
In the Winter months maybe some skiing or snow boarding is your thing. Bright is in perfect reach of the Victiorian Alpine Region including Mount Hotham & Mount Beauty.
A short drive also takes you to some of the regions many historic towns. Explore Milawa Gourmet Region, with its vineyards, mustards, cheeses and olive specialties. Call into Milawa Cellar Door where you can enjoy a tasting of Brown Brothers family of wines. Check out Wandiligong, Yackandandah and or detour to Beechworth famous for its 1800’s gold rush and stop in to Bridge Road Brewers, known to be one of Australia’s best craft breweries.
